KNOWING CHRIST FOR SURE! NO LONGER A VICTIM IN LIFE & LEARNING TO WALK IN VICTORY THROUGH CHRIST
There is not a more important person you will know in this life - than our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ!
The
decision to both accept Christ and walk with Him every day, is so significant that the subject is the most debated and argued
topic of all the numerous religious and philosophical discussions that happen around the world. The sad truth is many
people reject Christ - though the evidence for His existence is without argument in this world filled with human logic,
reason and scientific theories (a spirit of unbelief).
The power of Christ to change lives, sober alcoholics, reconcile
marriages, heal bodies, and save the doomed, damned and inherently wicked - is more than proof that His resurrection was authentic
and His ministry continues on, although He has gone to heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High with God
the Father.
Do you really know Him? Many people believe they "know Him" because they've been
to church, or heard numerous sermons on His life and ministry - and are quite familiar with the parables and stories they
heard in Sunday School. But "knowing Him" starts with personal surrender and submission to the finished work
He accomplished at Calvary, and appropriating that work in our own lives through walking by faith (in accordance with His
word and leading of the Holy Spirit) - and, being obedient to what He requires of you in this gift of life, where He is permitted
to live through us to positively and eternally impact others.
Knowing Christ is about a "personal relationship",
and that means you've: -Acknowledged that you have sinned, and need a Savior; -Called upon the name of the Lord
(Jesus Christ) to redeem you from the sins you've committed against Him and your fellow man; - You've confessed
that Jesus is Lord, and was crucified, buried, and resurrected by the Father on the third day so that you might have
life more abundantly; - Are willing to surrender in every area of your life: spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically,
financially, etc.
ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU'VE SINNED?
This is absolutely not about my opinion or yours, but a matter of unshakable truth that
is totally based upon God's standard - through His Word (The Bible), and the Law of Conscience that is the innate moral
governor given to every human being by God in order to "know right from wrong".
Your conscience
gives you the ability to live a relatively "good life", and to do nice things or charitable works apart from a genuine
relationship with Jesus Christ. The renewed spirit (or new nature) in Christ gives you the ability to reconcile with
your Creator, to live a life of purpose and meaning, and to spend eternity with God once this phase of eternity
is over.
Being "born again" is literally about being renewed in your spirit from the darkened
state of sin (missing the mark, or standard of a Perfect God). This initial decision and act of repentance (change of
mind, attitude and direction) is to bring you into alignment and agreement with God once again. Being in agreement with
God is like "proper covering" in rain - like an umbrella that shields you from the onslaught of inclement weather.
Outside His covering and protection, we suffer due to our own disobedience and disunity with His ways. This simply means,
as His children, we are to bear His attributes and characteristics, while we mirror and imitate Him wherever we
go and in whatever we do!
CALLING UPON HIM...
Is the simple, but profound acknowledgment of your insufficiency, inadequacy and frailty to handle life's challenges,
your life's direction, your family's happiness, your future security, and the fulfillment of His purpose for your
life, without totally depending upon Him to guide you in life at every age and stage.
Some of you may be amongst
those that believe Christianity is for weak-willed, spineless, confused, ignorant, and uneducated people, who need a crutch
in life to make it! But, I beg to differ - we all were either once in one of those categories at one time or another,
or find ourselves there now! None of us have it all together, or is ever in a place where we don't need God's
help!
There is a true saying that bears repeating - "you will never find an atheist in a foxhole."
And, you will never see or face death, be given a second chance - and REJECT CHRIST again!
Maybe you serve the
"god of your intellect", or the "god of your own making". Either way, these false gods are mere
idols without power or ability to change and transform your life forever!
This page is dedicated to providing numerous
resources to help you come to know Christ intimately and continually. There will always be fresh resources and new tools
on this website to help you grow in godliness, and be an effective witness for Christ.
WHAT IS SALVATION ANYWAY?
Salvation is the initial act of entering the eternal state of deliverance from sin, death, hell, sickness, and
the grave. It is such a powerful demonstration of God's power to redeem all of mankind through acceptance of His
Beloved Son - Jesus Christ, that multiplied billions of people (throughout history) as true believers and Christ followers,
could attest to the power of God that has transformed their lives forever!
When you, through the drawing
of God's Holy Spirit, accept Christ in your heart, and confess Him as Savior and Lord: - You initiate this relationship
through a prayer of faith for salvation (confessed once and lived out daily); - You begin and continue
to grow in the knowledge of God through a prayer of consecration for ongoing sanctification (renewing your
mind and coming to know His ways); - And, You determine to follow Him and surrender your entire life through a prayer
of commitment for eternal glorification (using your earthly existence to prepare for your eternal home).
These three key scriptures below provide the biblical basis for the explanation above:
In Romans 10:9-13,
the New Living Translation Bible says:
9 If you confess with your mouth that
Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are
saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to
all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
In 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, the New Living Translation
Bible says:
15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no
longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. 16
So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point
of view. How differently we know him now! 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become
a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 18 And all of this is a gift from God,
who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave
us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making
his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21 For
God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
In Ephesians 2:1-10, 11-22, the New Living Translation Bible says:
"Made Alive With Christ" 1 Once you were dead because
of your disobedience and your many sins. 2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world,
obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who
refuse to obey God. 3 All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations
of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. 4
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of
our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms
because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples
of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ
Jesus. 8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this;
it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us
can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus,
so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
"Perfect
Peace and The Perfect Plan" 11 Don’t forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You
were called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud of their circumcision, even though it affected
only their bodies and not their hearts. 12 In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were
excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You
lived in this world without God and without hope. 13 But now you have been united with Christ Jesus.
Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. 14
For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross,
he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. 15 He did this by ending the system of law
with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from
the two groups. 16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death
on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death. 17 He brought this Good News
of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near. 18 Now
all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. 19
So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You
are members of God’s family. 20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the
apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. 21 We are carefully joined
together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. 22 Through him you Gentiles are also being
made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.
If you've never accepted Christ,
pray this prayer of faith.
PRAY FROM YOUR HEART:
Father God, I need Jesus Christ to change me (my heart and my mind) through the power of His finished work at
Calvary. Christ was and is the perfect sacrifice - for Your perfect justice
and wrath to be satisfied, and He was spent on the cross, so that my sins might be remitted (wiped away). I accept
Him as my remitting sacrifice, and believe that my life will be redeemed forever (bought back from sin, sickness,
hell, death and the grave) from this day forward.
Though my physical body may pass away (in death) before
Christ's return, I know "to be absent from this body means that I will be present with the Lord". Jesus
Christ bore my sins so that I would not have to face the sentence of death - and, I accept that sacrifice for me right now,
by faith. Faith is simply me taking You at Your word, and the recognition that You cannot lie or fail!
I surrender every area of my life to You, and I bring every thing to You (my fears, my problems, and my mistakes) -
knowing that as I learn to walk with You; study Your word daily; fellowship with other like-minded Christ followers; and resign
my will for Your will - my life will never be the same again.
I renounce all the works of evil and the powers of
darkness, and I confess Christ as my Lord and Savior - and give Him the right and the authority to rule in
my life; and I give Him first place above all else. I ask now, that the Holy Spirit (sent to help me in my walk) will
fill me completely, so that I learn to fully cooperate and yield to Your leadership and guidance in my every day living.
I want the fullness of the Holy Spirit, with the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit to shine forth with love through
my life.
Teach me to love You and others, Lord - in truth. Teach me to know your voice, Lord - for real.
Teach me to trust in your ways, even when I'm not sure where You're leading me. Be the captain of my ship,
and I will serve You all the days of my life - with Your Help and Strength as my guiding force. Preserve my life blameless
(from regret or deception and the evil way) until Christ's return, and I welcome You to keep and
preserve me - so that I never misrepresent You to others or lead them astray, in Jesus'
Precious Name - AMEN.
NOTE: Through consecrating yourself to God and committing yourself
to Him - you are going to the experience His love, joy and peace in ways you could never imagine. As you learn to trust
His will and ways - by submitting your information to us, we can personally pray with you, and send you some materials
for your spiritual enrichment. We can also help you to locate a church family in your local area, if needed.
We would love to be your pastors, if God is leading you in that way!
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD!
