"Quantifying God's Glory?" Recently, during a time of fellowship with the Father, the Lord told me
that His people are constantly trying to "quantify His glory"!
When I considered what "His
glory actually represents", I realized that the weightiness of His person and His ways - symbolizes
the unfathomable, inestimable, incommunicable works of God in transcending demonstrations and manifestations
(above all we can ask or think).
Meaning, once a promise is made to us from the Lord, "the what",
"the how", and "the results" of His works in and through our lives is completely up to Him! We make
ourselves surrendered to His leadership, submitted to His timeline, and stewards of His provisions -
which makes us vessels of honor that are meet and fit for the Master's use! Instruments with one purpose - TO BE
USED BY HIM!
When God spoke to Mary through the angel about being highly favored amongst women - His choice of
Mary and her willingness to be His instrument - possessed implications of His divine purpose and plans, which Mary could have
never fully comprehended or understood. Mary could not fathom the magnitude of what being the channel for the Son of
God actually meant - with the persecution, the suffering, and the sacrifices that must be made for God's
glory to be revealed!
You and I really don't have a clue"what" we're saying yes to during some
of the moving moments we have in the spirit - when God makes a profound promise concerning our future hope and blessings!
Does God set us up to fail? Absolutely NOT!
Does God show us our need for Him in order to see
His glory revealed? Emphatically YES!
Before this year ends - posture yourself as a vessel for the
glory of God to be revealed through your life!
But
know this - the cost is your life, and the rewards are eternal!
